Due to the popularity of training products and services LTC have added LTC Training to the group.
Steve Anderton, as Managing Director of LTC Training, leads this business with his wealth of experience in both classroom and workplace training.
NVQ level 2
As a stake holder in the development of international occupational standards for laundry and drycleaning, LTC & DTC have produced a range of entry level training materials to enable LTC & DTC trained trainers to deliver high quality and consistent training to laundry and drycleaning operatives in several countries. The training focuses the employee to raise productivity, quality and health and safety awareness whilst minimising cost.
In England this training is funded through the Train to Gain initiative with only a £99 employer contribution to the cost of this.
Laundry Manager Training Scheme Level 3 and 4
To facilitate progression of staff from operator through to senior manager LTC & DTC have developed The Laundry Manager Training Scheme. At level 3 the scheme consists of four parts comprising:
- Level 3 NVQ management
- Key skills
- Level 3 laundry technology
- Management certificate
From £1500 per delegate
Level 4 of the scheme focuses on business management at senior production and general manger level.

Textiles for Launderers Level 2
This is a one day training course for launderers. It explores how launderers can better understand the issues in textile supply and manufacture that affect how textiles perform in the laundry. The course is designed to give launderers the skills to be able to purchase and process textiles more effectively.
£295 per delegate (minimum of 10 delegates)
Laundry for Textile Suppliers Levels 2 and 3
The objective of the training is to enable textile suppliers, manufacturers and distributors to understand and recognise the issues of laundry processes which impact on the textile supplier.
The training demonstrates the symptoms of the faults on which the textile supplier might be able to assist the launderer thus enabling the textile supplier to work out quickly what might have happened to cause a problem and help resolve this where necessary. The training is conducted over two days, one day at each level.
£550 per delegate (minimum of 10 delegates)
Laundry for Detergent Suppliers Level 2
The objective of the training is to enable detergent suppliers to understand and recognise the issues of laundry processes which impact on the relationship with the laundry. The training demonstrates the symptoms of the faults on which the detergent supplier might be able to assist the launderer enabling the detergent supplier to work out quickly what might have happened to cause a problem, to prove this and rectify it where necessary. The training also enables the detergent supplier to put forward and implement effective action points in order to resolve problems and potential disputes quickly and inexpensively. The course contents are tailored to individual demands.

Healthcare processing Level 3
LTC run a one day training course designed to ensure that laundry staff have the knowledge base necessary to produce good quality, clean and hygienic results in the laundry. The course covers:
- Health and Safety
- HSG 95/18
- EN14065
- HTM 01-04
- Measuring micro-organism contamination
- Measuring and setting quality standards
- Elements of a laundry audit and how to maximise the chance of passing

Wash Technology Level 3
This today level 3 wash technology training course is designed to assist laundry managers and detergent suppliers consistently achieve optimum wash quality for all common was classifications and the issues that sometimes make this challenging.
£950 per delegate (minimum of 8 delegates)
Finishing Technology Level 3
Level 3 finishing technology is a 4 days course that can be tailored to fit the type of finishing equipment in your laundry. Topics included are:
- Energy efficiency
- Calenders
- Tunnel finishers
- Live steam presses
- Hot head presses
- Heath and safety
- Fire prevention

Sorting Classifying Level 3
A training course at advanced level designed to equip the junior manager or supervisor with the tools to be able to manager the sorting and classification function in a laundry or drycleaners safely and efficiently. This is a 1 day course.

Workwear processing Level 3
A training courses at advanced level designed to equip the junior manager or supervisor with the tools to be able to manager the production of clean, hygienic and crease free workwear function in a laundry and/or drycleaner plant safely and efficiently. This is a 1 day course.

Laundry Fault Identification Levels 2 and 3
These 2 x one day training courses at intermediate and advanced level are designed to equip the customer service team member to identify common laundry or drycleaning faults, establish the cause and apportion blame in a consistent and fair manor. The training is conducted over two days, one day at each level.
£550 per delegate (minimum of 10 delegates)
Drycleaning Fault Identification Level 2 and 3
DTC offers 2x one day training courses at each level that are designed to enable the drycleaning technician to recognise faults that have occurred in drycleaning as a result of operator error and manufacturing defects. The training is conducted over two days, one day at each level.
£550 per delegate (minimum of 10 delegates)
Laundry Supervisor Level 3
LTC offer a training course for aspiring and experienced laundry supervisors that gives them the knowledge and skills to overcome everyday challenges. The course is given over four consecutive days or broken down into four x one day release modules. The training is delivered using laundry specific case studies and is driven by achieving positive outcomes.
The costs for this course are £960.00 per delegate for a minimum of 8 delegates when given over 4 consecutive days but will be higher if the course is required on a 4 x 1 day release to cover trainer travel costs.
CBTW safe operation and unblocking Levels 2 and 3
LTC provides 2 x one day training courses to ensure laundries are compliant with the TSA guidance on safe operation and entry into a CBTW as a last resort in the event of a blockage and how to minimise these risks. The training is conducted over two days, one day at each level.

RABC (Risk Assessment Biocontamination Control)
HTM0104 & EN14065
LTC offers one day training in the latest methods of validating disinfection within your laundry. Most of the newer approaches to ensuring laundry is disinfected rely on risk assessment methodology. The LTC training concentrates on the four key components of risk assessment methodology.
- Identify hazards
- Classifying the risks and recording them
- Identifying control measures and implementing them
- Validation and how to do it
This is a one day course.

Assessor training
LTC offer a four day intensive training course to enable a trained assessor to become occupationally competent to train and assess laundry operatives in laundry technology and practice. This four day course is evenly split between classroom theory and in-laundry practical training.
Laundry Assessor training: £950 per delegate (minimum of 5 delegates)
DTC offer a three day intensive training course to assist a trained assessor to become occupationally competent to train and assess drycleaning operatives in drycleaning technology and practice. This three day course is evenly split between classroom theory and in-cleaner practical training.
Drycleaning Assessor course: £750 per delegate (minimum of 5 delegates)
How to monitor quality
LTC offers a one day training course for quality champions within laundry operations. The course explores the different methods of assessing the quality of new linen and how to monitor the quality of the linen in use along with the quality of the wash processes.
